Dhaou Bsissa est un historien tunisien dont les recherches portent sur l'histoire de l'institution judiciaire musulmane dans la société tunisienne moderne et contemporaine. Il est actuellement chercheur aux Archives nationales de Tunisie et s'intéresse à l'histoire et à l'anthropologie des sociétés musulmanes au Maghreb, avec un fort accent sur l'étude des textes juridiques islamiques.
