Padmanabh Samarendra

Padmanabh Samarendra est professeur au Dr. K.R. Narayanan Centre for Dalit and Minorities Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Ses recherches portent sur le concept de caste et les mouvements de caste dans l'Inde moderne, l'anthropologie coloniale, le colonialisme, le nationalisme, etc. Il est en train d'achever une monographie sur les castes. Il a reçu des bourses du Conseil indien de la recherche en sciences sociales, du Charles Wallace India Trust, de la Fondation Ford et du Nehru Trust for Victoria and Albert Museum. Il a été membre du Centre d'études en sciences sociales de Calcutta.
