Mirela Altic

Mirela Altic est chargée de recherche à l'Institut des sciences sociales et professeure titulaire au département d'histoire de l'université de Zagreb. Elle est spécialisée dans l'histoire sociale des cartes, l'échange de connaissances interculturelles et les rencontres au début de l'ère moderne. Outre son intérêt pour l'histoire de la cartographie en Europe centrale, elle a publié au cours de la dernière décennie de nombreux ouvrages sur la cartographie jésuite et la contribution des missionnaires à l'histoire de la cartographie et de l'exploration en général. Elle se consacre actuellement à l'étude des cartes jésuites du Moyen-Orient ainsi que de l'Asie du Sud et du Sud-Est.
