Carmel Christy Kattithara Joseph

Biographie

Carmel Christy Kattithara Joseph est assistante professeure de Journalisme au Kamala Nehru College (Université de Delhi). Ses recherches explorent les connexions entre caste, genre/sexualité, média, espace urbain et religion en Inde. Sa première monographie intitulée Sexuality and Public Space in India: Reading the Visible a été publiée par Routledge en 2017. Carmel a obtenu un doctorat de l'Université d'Hyderabad et a été post-doctorante associée Fulbright-Nehru à l'Université de Californie à Santa-Cruz. Elle travaille actuellement sur les rapports entre tissu urbain et religion sur le littoral sud-ouest de l'Inde pour l'IIAS de Leyden. Elle poursuit ce travail au sein du Collège d'études mondiales de la Fondation Maison des sciences de l'homme à Paris.
