Session of the seminar Racism and Anti-Semitism: global, national and local perspectives with John Solomos (Warwick University).
In this lecture we seek to explore the relative absence of a dialogue between scholars working on race and racism in the North American and European context. Drawing on a critical analysis of recent scholarship in both the UK and the U.S. we argue that the absence of a dialogue needs to be addressed if we are to build on the valuable conceptual advances that have been made.
