The Covid-19 pandemic has overhauled the world economy and geopolitics. The pandemic and its consequences have also reinforced previous tendencies: digitalization, climatic crisis and the dynamics of income disparities.
What role does nature play and how to consider the effects of the socio-ecological crisis to understanding capitalist expansion today?
Since the Paris Declaration (2005) on the effectiveness of development aid, the injunction of aid’s optimization has seemed to be recurring in donors’ discourses. This should be seen in an international context of multiple and protracted crisis, as well as budgetary tensions around required resources’ mobilization. Such a situation has led to redesign strategies, with regard to their formulation and operationalization.

Fabrice Jaumont, researcher of the platform "Humanitarianism in globalization", will present his book Unequal Partners, published in the collection Le (bien) commun (Editions of the MSH).
The book will be discussed with Antoine Vaccaro, president of the Center for Study and Research on Philanthropy.
