Integrated Assessment Models (IAM) are models of the climate and the economy used to investigate the consequences of climate policies on the future evolution of climate and their impacts. Such models often consider risk in a crude way, by focusing on most likely or expected outcomes (through Monte-Carlo simulations). They rarely deal with the questions of inter- and intragenerational.

The harmful effects of the floods these last have strong incidences socio-economic and ecological and involved human losses of life and property damages.
