Tugce Beycan

Invited Researcher at Maison Suger Stay in France: from March 1st 2022 to February 24th, 2023

Tugce Beycan is Swiss National Science Foundation (FNS) Postdoc.Mobility Researcher at Centre Maurice Halbwachs (EHESS/ENS/CNRS). She received B.A. in Economics and Management from University of Toulouse 1 and M.A. in Development Economics from University of Bordeaux 4 in France, M.Sc. in Statistics and Ph.D. in Sociology from University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. She worked as a statistician (specialized in design and implementation of labor force surveys, and in labor statistics) at IPEC and Department of Statistics of International Labor Organization (ILO) in Geneva. Besides, she was research and teaching assistant of Prof. Ch. Suter, and lecturer in social indicators at University of Neuchatel.

She is currently working with Prof. Serge Paugam on dynamic analysis of multi-configurations of poverty and social bonds in upper-middle-income countries. Moreover, she is working on Ethnic Diversity and Social Bonds in the United-States: The Relevance of the Durkheimian Theoretical Approach of Social Attachment (with Serge Paugam and Marcelo Mino), and on Comparison of Social Attachment Regimes at International Level (with Serge Paugam and Christian Suter).
