Shinichiro Nakamura

Shinichiro Nakamura holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Tokyo. Since 2018 he is an Associate Professor of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nagoya University, Japan. His specialties are water resources management, socio-hydrology, water history, and land-infrastructure design. He has studied sustainable basin management in urban area, evaluation of climate change impacts and adaptations in Asian countries, analysis of socio-hydrological processes in Asian monsoon region.

He is also a member of the Japanese Society of Hydrology and Water Resources (JSHWR) and of the Japanese Society for the History of Science.
