Junia Furtado

Junia Furtado is a full professor of modern history at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, where she is currently working in the PHD of History. She is a specialist in colonial Brazil, slavery, modern history, history of science and history of cartography, with several articles and book chapters published on these topics.

The project

The Journey Home: the Brazilian mulatto priests Cipriano Pires Sardinha and Vicente Ferreira Pires and their scientific expedition into Dahomey, 1796-1797.
