A dual governance structure with a Supervisory Board and a Management Board
The Fondation Maison des sciences de l'homme is a private foundation of recognised public utility. The statutes adopted in 2014 are based on a dual governance structure with a supervisory board and and a Management Board.
The management board implements the strategy and makes the operational decision prend les décisions opérationnelles concerning the functioning and management of the institution, in agreement with the Supervisory Board.
Michel Wieviorka, sociologist, PhD in literature and Humanities, director of studies at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, is the president of the Fondation Maison des sciences de l'homme since July 2015. He was director of the FMSH since 2009.
