Ludger Schwarte is Professor of Philosophy at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf since 2009, after studying Philosophy, Literature and Political Science in Münster, Berlin and Paris. PhD (1997) and Habilitation (2007) in Philosophy at the Freie Universität Berlin. Research Fellow at the Freie Universität Berlin from 2000 to 2006, assistant professor at the University of Basel from 2006 to 2009, professor of aesthetics at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste 2009. Invited to Paris 8 University, GACVS Washington, Maison des Sciences de l'homme (Paris), University of Abidjan, Columbia University (New York), EHESS (Paris), IKKM (Weimar).
