Diverse experiences, common causes

How to imagine and conceptualize a possible way of living together, not in spite of our differences but because of them ? How to welcome singular, minority, marginalized narratives into the living polyphony of a shared world ? How to found solidarities upon the diversity of experiences ? 

These questions are not new.  But they are being posed with greater acuity than ever, now that societies are fragmenting, that retreats into identities are increasing, that inequalities are worsening, and that generalized commodification is destroying natural resources.

We wish to adopt a multidisciplinary approach and bring together around these questions scholars from the humanities and the social as well as environmental sciences, as well as artists and committed individuals whose imagination, creativity, and struggles will enrich our reflection.

The first three lecture will take place at Cité Internationale des Arts (CIA) as part of the Museum du Tout Monde (M2A2) exhibition, 18 Rue de l'Hôtel de Ville, 75004 Paris. The following lectures will take place every month at the FMSH, 190 avenue de France, 75013 Paris or at NYU-Paris, 57 boulevard St-Germain, 75006 Paris.
